Editing Stations
The term class 3 are going to be looking at multiple genres of writing. This will range from poetry, instructions, biographies, narrative stories, non-fiction and fiction.
They will look thoroughly at examples of the genre. Having the opportunity to read a number of different examples and look at the key features. They will also have the opportunity to look closely at the grammatical features of the chosen genre.
Once they have looked carefully at the examples, we will write one as class. Taking ideas from the whole class. Once the children have seen this they will then go on to write their own. Finally, they will self mark, have opportunities to peer mark and edit their own work.
