If the school has an immediate safety concern, we will lead the children into a 'lockdown' procedure. Each child will be supported throughout and a member of staff, normally the headteacher, or deputy headteacher will be responsible for overseeing the entire process.

All doors are locked as a matter of course, but blinds and windows may be shut, and children may be asked to shelter underneath their desks. 

Parents and Carers will be notified at the earliest opportunity, and advised on the next steps.
